Robert Walter Simon, 73, of Martinsburg, WV passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV. Robert was born on October 27, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Leo and Elizabeth (Zulkowski) Simon. He retired from the United States Army after 22 years of service as an E-6/Staff Sargeant. He was in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. After he retired, he worked as an Accountant in Bethesda. He also worked at a landscape company in Silver Spring as a Payroll Clerk. He enjoyed shooting pool and was an avid Redskins Fan
He is survived by his children; Danny Simon and his wife, Samantha, Jackie Fazio, Marcella Goodwin and her husband, Tim, Eilzabeth Dubyak and her husband, Paul, and Robert Simon, Jr. and his wife, Jacky, brothers David and Leo Simon, Jr. and sister Patricia Leavitt. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
Friends will be received on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Harman Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD.
