Obituary for Florence Marie Semler (Schoultz)

Florence Marie Semler, 101, passed away on Saturday, Mach 9, 2019 at Williamsport Retirement Village, Williamsport, MD.

Mrs. Semler was born on September 16, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Edward E. and Florence M. (Miller) Schoultz. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Semler, Jr., and her sons John L. Semler, III, Robert W. Semler and Gregory W. Semler. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis M. Semler of Hagerstown, MD, her grandchildren; John L. Semler, IV, of Waynesboro, PA, Joseph M. Semler, and his partner, Constance Quinn, of Greencastle, PA, James A. Semler of Funkstown, MD, Christopher J. Semler of Boonsboro, MD, Anne Marie Molster, and her husband, Martin, of Boonsboro, MD, Joshua M. Semler, and his wife, Kim, and Matthew W. Semler, and his wife, Andrea, of Hagerstown, MD. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Catholic Church, 224 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Fr. George A. Limmer will celebrate.

Interment to immediately follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Harman Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD, where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to St. Mary Catholic School, 218 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740
