Obituary

Obituary for Thomas R. Myers, Jr.

Thomas R. Myers, Jr., 77, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Doey's House. Born April 2, 1942 in Hagerstown, MD, he is the son of the late Thomas R., Sr. and Catherine M. (Young) Myers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, William Bruce Myers.

Tom enjoyed NASCAR; especially Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski. He was a great father, had many dear friends and was good to everyone. Tom worked for Moller Pipe Organ as a draftsman and later worked for CertainTeed, before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Myers, of Hagerstown, his daughters Christine E. Mason, and her husband Steve, of Clear Spring, MD, Cheryl L. Hess, and Terry Gossard, of Hagerstown, MD, and Gina Kline of Hagerstown, MD, his grandchildren Nicole and Tyler Hess, Levi Mason, Kiana Denlinger, and Robert, Joshua and Rachel Kline.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Harman Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown. Rev. Darrell Layman will officiate. Interment to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the funeral service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231 or Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
